ALICE IN WONDERLAND 2024
We were excited to see over 50 dancers at our auditions for our end of year production of Alice in Wonderland. We always wish we could cast everyone in the show but a big congratulations to the following dancers who really gave it their all in their acting and stepped out of their comfort zone to show us what they could do!

TERM 4 CONCERT INFORMATION
We are excited to announce that your dance student will be involved in our end of year concert performances at The Round Theatre in Nunawading. This concert performance is a highly anticipated end of year tradition at ADV and all students are involved in either 1 or 2 performances. Please read the below information carefully and note all dates in your diaries
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Because the school is so large we divide all students into 2 casts to ensure we don’t have a 6 hour concert! Some students will be involved in 2 performances if they are involved in classes with multiple age groups or are at the older end of our school.

Those students involved in 2 performances will generally have all their dances in one of those performances so that family & friends can watch that show, but may have one or two of those same dances also involved a 2nd performance and will need to attend twice.

Prep students are generally only involved in one performance.

Ballet students are all involved in the first half of the show presenting "Alice in Wonderland” (Prep Jazz and Tap students are also in the first half of the show and finish at interval)

Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Tap and Acrobatics students are involved in the 2nd half of the show presenting “Let’s Dance” which takes place after the interval

Preschool students have a completely separate concert and are not included in the below information.
CONCERT PARTICIPATION
It is assumed that all students will be involved in the concert. If your child is UNABLE to take part in the concert you must advise us by email at info@academyofance.biz prior to Friday 17th August. The concert production fee and costume hire fees will be added to Term 3 accounts from 20th August as outlined in our information book policies (a copy of this below).
IMPORTANT DATES FOR CONCERT PARTICIPATION

Saturday 9th November: Costume Fit and Photo Day - All students required. There are no dance classes on this day.

Saturday 30th November: Alice in Wonderland Studio Rehearsal at Academy of Dance Victoria Studios. 3pm - 7:30pm (Students will not all be required for the entire time, specific times to be given in Term 3)

Sunday 1st December: Alice in Wonderland Theatre Rehearsal at The Round in Nunawading: 1:15pm - 9pm (Students will not be required for the entire time specific times given in term 4)

Wednesday 4th December: Let’s Dance Theatre Rehearsal at The Round in Nunawading 4pm - 9pm (students will not be required for entire time, specific times given in Term 4)

Sunday 8th December: Cast 1 Performance of Alice in Wonderland and Let’s Dance 12:30 - 3:30 (time estimate only, to be confirmed in Term 4)

Sunday 8th December: Cast 2 Performance of Alice in Wonderland and Let’s Dance 6:30p - 9:30pm (time estimate only, to be confirmed in Term 4)
CONCERT CASTS
Which cast is my child in? Please check the below list and ensure you check if your dancer is in just one concert or two!
The first half of our concert is Alice in Wonderland featuring all our ballet students plus selected jazz and tap classes.
The 2nd half of our concert is called Let’s Dance and features all our Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Acrobatics and Contemporary classes
